We use digital x-ray technology which often results in lower raditation exposure to the pets and our staff. Digital X-rays are oftentimes more "information rich" than traditional x-rays. Without having to take another X-ray, we can zoom-in on an area of interest and reveal additional data (images) that are not apparent on a larger scale. This is not the same as increasing pixel size (thus degrading the image), but instead the image is dense in quality. This allows Dr. Chau and specialists she consults to do a "focus study" of a section of the larger x-ray without a loss of quality. This saves the client the extra cost of additional x-rays, saves the patient the exposure to additional radiation, and gives the doctors a treasure trove of digital imagery that is easily stored, shared, and reviewed at a later date... much of which could not be achieved through normal x-ray technology. You can also retrieve your pet's x-rays from our radiology service on-line which is available for our clients free-of-charge.

Additional analysis on a particular area of the x-ray reveals yet still an extraordinary high-resolution view:
An equivalent x-ray on a traditional machine at another vet can be found here (link) though Dr. Chau points out that the image is upside down.
